The MacArthur Highlanders headed into Friday night's first round playoff game as the top ranked team in Division 5A in Oklahoma high school football, and they did absolutely nothing to tarnish that ranking, easily handling the Guthrie Blue Jays 50-0 in front of a mostly partisan crown at Cameron Stadium.

The Highlanders left no doubt right from the start, scoring on their first six possessions of the game to jump out to a 43-0 lead. Teddy Thomas led the way for the Highlanders, running for three touchdown, while quarterback Anthony Love-Kemper threw two touchdowns, one an 84 yard scoring pass to Ronnie Kimble, who finished the night with 3 catches for 128 receiving yards, while also intercepting a Guthrie pass while on defense. Love-Kemper was 7-for-8 passing for 190 yards for on the night and also ran for another score as part of a 28 point second quarter that gave MacArthur a 43-0 halftime lead.

Top-ranked Mac is now 11-0 on the season, 8-0 in the conference. Friday night they will look for revenge for last year's second round playoff loss, as the host 6th ranked Collinsville. Last year, Collinsville, who upset the Highlanders 44-27 in the second round. Collinsville, who is 9-2 overall and 7-1 in conference play this season, advanced to round two Friday night with a 35-25 win over Coweta.

Game time is scheduled for 7:30 Friday night at Cameron Stadium.
