This weekend the annual New York Toy Fair is happening February 17-20 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Although I'm a young adult, I collect various types of toys. I don't have too many from my actual childhood within reach, so I mostly have toys from brands that are currently own the market.

The Toy Fair features companies like Mattel, Hasbro and Disney, among many others. My personal favorite is Mattel because they make brands like DC Comics characters and Monster High.

Here is a look at Mattel's booth this year. https://www.cnet.com/pictures/sneak-peek-of-the-toy-fair-2018/54/

I'm looking forward to the Jurassic Park items and new DC Comics figures. The most disappointing part is the lack of a Monster High display in the last couple of years. It's such a unique line, combining popular monster characters with Barbie-type dolls and putting them in high school.

Since the brand isn't completely dead, with the recent release of new dolls, maybe Mattel   will soon bring it back from the grave with new ideas.
