Earlier this month, National Geographic released an intense docuseries retelling the stories of survivors and victims claimed in the Oklahoma City Bombing on April 19, 1995. Another documentary is set to release on the anniversary of the event this year on Netflix, giving audiences a moment-by-moment retelling of the events that day. These are just newer ways of remembering the terror attack, but there are many others that people can use to recall the event.

On April 2, 2025, the newest docuseries "Oklahoma City: One Day In America" was released on select streaming platforms. The series retold heartbreaking stories of what started out as a normal day in downtown Oklahoma City but ended in the worst terror attack in the United States done by one of our own U.S. soldiers.

That day, 168 lives were taken, including 19 children. The series recounts the moments that led up to the explosion, the immediate aftermath and chaos that ensued and several survivor stories. Accounts are told from real victims, firefighters, reporters and even comments from former U.S. President Bill Clinton.

New intense documentary set to release on Friday, April 18, 2025 on Netflix.

Rather than a docuseries, Netflix is expected to release a similar documentary recounting the Oklahoma City Bombing and interviews from the bomber, Timothy McVeigh. Currently, audiences can set a reminder to be notified when the documentary, "Oklahoma City Bombing: American Terror" becomes live.

As the anniversary of the attack approaches, those who are able to watch the documentaries are encouraged to do so in rememberance of the people that were killed that day. Do bear in mind that both works do include real footage from the events that day.

Other footage and more documentaries can give new perspectives on the bombing.

More real footage from that day is readily available, thanks to technology and YouTube. Audiences can see the actual live reports from major news stations like KWTV here. Another documentary released in 2017 called "Oklahoma City" doesn't just discuss the happenings of the bombing, but delves deeper into what led McVeigh to commit the crime.

More ways to commemorate the day in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

There are other opportunities to pay respects and remember the events of the day, such as visiting the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial Building on the anniversary. On Saturday, April 19, the Memorial Building will be allowing free admission all day. There is also a Memorial Run happening at the end of this month.
