Well, Oklahoma has definitely not been lacking in rain this year. While some areas are continuing to receive rains and even flooding, other areas are suffering from dry soils.

While the state as a whole did become completely drought less for the first time in several years, some parts of the state are close to experience drought like conditions soon.

As of now, these areas near the southwestern border of the state are classified as "abnormally dry." But, things could change with the possibility of rains for this weekend, as some weather professionals are forecasting.

Oklahoma considered drought less for the first time in years - could it end in three months?

As weather professionals said via a social media post: "that didn't last long." Despite Oklahoma seeing record-breaking rains this year, parts of the state are already nearing drought-like conditions.

The good news is, the conditions are only "abnormally dry" as of now and just might receive the rain they need in storms that are forecasted starting Saturday, July 12.

Weather experts say Saturday full of rain for most of the state.

Although during storm season, it's difficult to get the same forecast from every weather analyst or reporters. But for this weekend, many are calling for rain for much of the state.

Some meteorlogists like Lacey Swope are predicting below average temperatures to continue through the weekend, as well.

While temperatures may be warm Friday, it's fairly clear that many of us will see rain this weekend.

But will those areas in Oklahoma that are currently "abnormally dry" be on the list? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
