Oklahoma’s “Missed Connections” From Craigslist – Is This You?

Summer time is usually when Oklahoma gets the most travelers and visitors during the year. While enjoying the nights out or special events, some folks make special connections. In some cases, they connect with someone and - believe it or not - never even know the other person's name.

Craigslist has a "missed connections" section for popular cities across the country, including Lawton, Oklahoma. Although the following posts aren't necessarily from Lawton, the users are trying desperately to reach out and see where their missed connection could have gone.

Although research has shown that finding a missed connection is exceptionally rare, it has happened in the past. Several Oklahoma continue to struggle with living alone or being single. For those actively trying to find someone, this could be a step in a good direction for their love life.

"Yukotang Storms"

Oklahoma saw at least one confirmed tornado on June 3, 2025 near Norman, Oklahoma. Apparently, the "twister storms" near what we believe is meant to be Yukon, Oklahoma reminded this user of some "fun, twisty times" they used to have with their missed connection. They've been thinking about it since June 4, 2025. Could this be you?

"Cowboys 2005"

Whomever this missed connection was must have left quite an impression. After all, it's not often you find yourself trying to find someone from 20 years ago, but this user is trying. After reminscing about an incident at Cowboys OKC in 2005, they thought there couldn't be any harm in trying to connect with this person again.

"It was a Wednesday night at cowboys, we danced about the last hour together," they wrote, "I actually grabbed you to two step."

Apparently, their missed connection tried to walk the user and their friends to their car, but things were "interrupted by a bouncer."

"Old Karate Coach"

Someone near Edmond, Oklahoma has been searching for the old karate coach they had for their child. The karate coach they're looking for supposedly "left over a year ago" since they posted on  Craigslist, Monday, June 30. They spoke about the connection they felt and the admiration they had for the coach's patience with their students.

They did mention a beard - hopefully their missed connection didn't shave it!

"Sawyer Brown"

This user has an incredible knack for memory. They were able to describe exactly where they met their missed connection at Riverwind Casino down to the very seat they were sitting in. Comments have been edited for clarity.

"You mentioned that you [were] a Stewardess," they said, "and had seen Sawyer Brown right after they won Star Search."

They're still hoping to chat more, so if you were there on July 11, 2025, near Section 101, you have someone looking for you!
