For the past year, couples and family members in southwest Oklahoma that contracted Peyton Moore Photography to capture some of their happiest moments were left without photos, money or often an explanation for the photographers no show. A warrant was issued for Peyton Moore in January of this year and Moore was recently arrested in Comanche County for multiple charges.

Last year, a Facebook user in Lawton, Oklahoma, shared their unusual experience with Peyton Moore Photography, and several others chimed in with similar accounts. A majority of the stories sounded the same: they scheduled a photo shoot for their wedding or special event, signed the contract and paid the required deposit.

Clients accused Moore of not showing up for contracted shoots, not providing photos or giving refunds.

Several of the accounts with Moore reported that either Moore didn't show up the day of their contracted event. In some instances, Moore may have taken the photos, but never finished editing or distributing them to the families. If clients were lucky, they would receive their photos, but much later than what they originally expected. Moore has also been accused of constantly offering "sales" and "deals" for special occasions but never following through.

One person who worked with Moore commented their experience with the photographer on the public Facebook page, the Lawton Grapevine, indicating that they were one of the "lucky ones" who was able to get their money back after Moore did not appear for the scheduled shoot date.

"I was able to reach her via email and while she assured me she would show for our shoot…she didn’t…and somehow I was one of the lucky ones that got a refund from cashapp."

This was just one of numerous times Moore allegedly scammed families for their money and never showed for the job.

Moore was arrested in Comanche County for obtaining money under false pretenses.

In December of 2024, a warrant was issued for Moore in Comanche County District Court for obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses. Another warrant of the same count was issued for Moore on Jan. 15.

On Wednesday, Feb. 26, Moore was arrested by the Comanche County Sheriff's Office while driving under the influence. The Comanche County Sheriff's Office charged Moore with the following:

  • Driving under the influence for the second time within 10 years
  • Failure to maintain security
  • Two counts of false pretense/bogus check/con game

As of 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, Moore was listed as a previous inmate on the Comanche County Detention Center website. Moore is expected to appear at the Comanche County District Court at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 16.
