Here’s How to Pick Your Own Tulips in Oklahoma
Picking tulips is one of the best spring activities in Oklahoma!
At Oklahoma Tulips in Harrah, Oklahoma, you can wander through their tulip garden, admire the vibrant colors and pick fresh tulips to take home. A trip to Oklahoma Tulips is a great activity to plan with friends and family or even as a date!
According to the Oklahoma Tulips website, the flower farm used to be a dairy farm that provided fresh milk to the local community, along with fresh vegetables on the honor system. Now the farm has been transformed to a beautiful tulip flower farm. Oklahoma Tulips imports their tulip bulbs from Holland, and grow them right here in Oklahoma! You can also buy some of these bulbs at the Oklahoma Tulips store to grow in your own garden.

Oklahoma Tulips is now open for spring! The tulips farm is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. Be sure to follow the Oklahoma Tulips Facebook page for updates and special events!

And it doesn't cost much for a visit to Oklahoma Tulips! Oklahoma Tulips charge $2.50 per stem and $20.00 for 10 stems. Entry fee is $5, while children 4 and younger get in free! Oklahoma Tulips also has some suggestions for what you need to know before picking tulips.
- Wear appropriate clothing for the weather
- To pick your tulips, grab them close to the ground and wiggle and twist up gently
- Bring gloves, but there is a handwashing station on site if you forget
- Porta potties are available on site
- Baskets for picking are provided
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- No pets allowed
- If traveling far, bring a bucket or vase with water for flowers - water and flower food will be provided
