Hard to believe it's already October. It's strange that this year with the COVID-19 pandemic and everything else that's going on some days drag, others fly by. For me most of 2020 has gone pretty quickly and here we are, it's Fall and Halloween is coming up fast. If you're looking for something to do, or things to look forward to this month you're in luck. There's actually a lot going on this month and plenty of things to do and watch.

#1 Candy, candy and even more candy. Now that's something to look forward to. I've already been through one bag of Halloween candy already. The first of many this month.

#2 If you're a sports fan October has a lot to look forward to. We've got the NFL season going on. The MLB play offs are happening with the World Series scheduled to start on Tuesday, October 20th 2020 (10-20-20). Not only that the NBA finals just got started. There's more sports happening in October than we've seen in the past several months.

#3 While there hasn't been a whole lot of new movies to speak of lately we do have Borat 2 that will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime later this month on Friday, October 23rd 2020 (10-23-20). We also have a new Adam Sandler movie "Hubie Halloween" to look forward to on Netflix this Wednesday, October 7th 2020 (10-07-20).

#4 There are tons of new TV shows coming back with new seasons and episodes including: Saturday Night Live, The Voice, Amazing Race, The Bachelorette, Shark Tank, Big Brother and the one I'm most looking forward to The Mandalorian on Disney+. All the streaming services will have new series starting this month including Netflix's follow up to "The Haunting of Hill House." The new season is called "The Haunting of Bly Manor." That will be coming or on Friday, October 9th 2020 (10-09-20).

#5 I'm not too sure if this is something to look forward to, or something to avoid all together. But if you're a fan of the Presidential Debates and want to watch Trump and Biden mix it up again there are 2 more debates scheduled for this month. The next one will happen on Thursday, October 15th 2020 (10-15-20) and the final debate is on Thursday, October 22nd 2020 (10-22-20).

#6 Of course with it being October we have Halloween to look forward to and the City of Lawton WILL BE trick-or-treating from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Saturday, October 31st 2020 (10-31-20) All Hallow's Eve. You can get more details here. I'm expecting better numbers this year and seeing more kids and families in my neighborhood out trick-or-treating. It's been forever since anyone's been able to get out and do something "normal" for a change. I think most people are really looking forward to it and I know the kids are!
