One Oklahoma State Fair Is Over, Here Comes The Next

After a wild two weeks, the Oklahoma State Fair in Oklahoma City has finally come to a close for this year. But, like Texas and Washington, we have multiple state fairs. The next is the Tulsa State Fair, starting Sept. 25 and running until Oct. 5.

While the celebration in Oklahoma City is technically the official state fair of Oklahoma, Tulsa's event is even bigger. It has already been ranked among the top five state fairs in country, above the Oklahoma State Fair even.

Tulsa State Fair vs. Oklahoma State Fair - How are they different?

According to several previous fairgoers, the Tulsa State Fair is very similar to the one in OKC. Many of the carnival rides, games and even some of the food trucks are the same - after all, a fair is a fair.

However, each year when the top fair rankings come out, the Tulsa fair is noticably ranked higher. According to the stats, the Tulsa State Fair brings in more people. But why?

It could be because many people in the Tulsa area have shared more memories over the years. The fair here started originally as a county fair that grew bigger and bigger and eventually even more popular than the sooner state's own state fair.

Some visitors also say that the facilities and set up in Tulsa are debatably nicer than the OKC fair. "The facilities in Tulsa are worlds above the facilities in OKC," one reddit user said. "Tulsa has the advantage of the Sage Net Center. There were always so many vendors in there."

Main attractions to see at the 2025 Tulsa State Fair.

Their music lineup this year will feature major acts like Lupe Fiasco, Switchfoot, American Authors, Josiah Queen and many others. One of their major tribute acts is the Epic Eagles tribute band, performing Thursday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m.

They will also have Disney on Ice performances, carnival rides and numerous amounts of food, food and food!
