On Friday, Survival Flight, Inc. flew their Bell 407 helicopter flew over the brand new Drewery Family Emergency Department at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, right before landing in time for the ribbon cutting ceremony that announced that Survival Flight would now be stationed at the hospital.

The all-new Drewery Emergency Center consists of over 28,000 square feet of new construction, and over 11,000 square feet of renovations to the previously existing Emergency Department. The additions brought the center to over 40,000 square feet of usable space. Now with the addition of Survival Flight, whose crews are capable of handling a multitude of emergency situations including strokes, heart attacks and traumatic injuries, they can cut the treatment time for severe situations drastically.

Survival Flight crews will also be conducting educational meetings with schools, and they will visit surrounding communities to educate residents of services available.
