New Emergency Center Set To Cut Ribbon
The Drewry Family Emergency Center will officially open it doors Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm at Comanche County Memorial Hospital.
While the ribbon cutting ceremonies will be taking place on Tuesday, the areas newest emergency center has an expected opening date in mid-July. The new center, with an estimated cost of more that $21 million, has been under constructions since January of 2014. When completed, the new center will expand existing floor space by almost 29,000 square feet. The renovation expands the existing 11,218 square foot space to over 40,000 square feet, which will include and estimated 3,700 square feet of shelled space for future expansion.
The highlight of the project is the computed tomography imaging area, which will contain a Toshiba Aquilion Prime 80 row detector CT. The unit has an 80 centimeter gantry opening with a table that has lateral movement ability, a system with unmatched flexibility, combining it with cutting edge technology that save time and improves diagnostic accuracy.
