There's no shame in the saving game! Especially after this year, families in Oklahoma are using every avenue that they can in order to make sure their Christmas is still merry and bright.

Since changes are coming to the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) for Oklahoma, now is the time to take advantage of the benefits that still allow certain items that will not be covered after January 1, 2026.

Although shoppers in other states have been able to purchase these items, there's always a chance that EBT could say no in your state. But, these packages and sets do have qualifying items that are currently covered under Oklahoma's food stamps program.

Meat and Cheese Packages

As of right now, Oklahoma's SNAP benefits allow families to buy goods that are "meat, poultry, and fish" and "dairy products." Walmart is currently selling a variety of summer sausage meat and cheese packs that shoppers have been able to purchase with their EBT cards.

These meat and cheese packs, and all of the other items listed below, work well for stocking stuffers and easy, fast snacks for kids and adults on Christmas Day.

@a.mermaidhoney Trigger warning for those who hate people who receive food stamps. ❤️ I work mon-Friday and I’m a full time college student and mother of 4 so cry me a river #fyp #ebt #christmas #holidays #love ♬ original sound - Ariel

Nesquik Chocolate Milk Set

Although some shoppers did say that they weren't able to purchase the Nequik Chocolate Milk set, others were able to purchase the set with EBT cards. We aren't sure what the determining factor is, but it never hurts to try.

Next year, Oklahoma's EBT program will look a little different and will not cover certain sweets and beverages.

This item may not be covered after the first of the year, so now is the time to see if your EBT will cover the set.

Frosted Flakes & Other Cereal Sets

SNAP benefits specifically cover "bread and cereal," so you know that these adorable packs are a for sure bet. The best part is that these are relatively inexpensive and can save everyone a headache on Christmas morning.

Instead of having to stave off a starving family until Christmas dinner is ready, buy these to keep them satiated until dinner's on the table.

There are still several gift sets filled with chocolates, candies, and more that Oklahoma families can buy for Christmas. To see a list of qualifying items specifically for Oklahoma's food stamps program, click here.
