Dino Off Road Adventure Enjoys One Month at Six Flags Over Texas

Back in June, Six Flags Over Texas revamped the second oldest ride at their park. The Chaparral Antique Cars had been entertaining guests since 1962, but needed some new life. Dinosaur animatronics were added to the ride space and guests still get to drive their own car around the track just like they did with the Chaparral Antique Cars.

New Ride Officially Open and One Ride Makes Triumphant Return

Dino Off Road Adventure was not the only new attraction added at Six Flags Over Texas this year. Bugs Bunny's Boomtown got an entire upgrade and if your kid loves this part of the park. Two rides have been added, however one of them is sort of reopening.

This is a family drop tower that lifts riders 41 feet in the air before beginning a sequence of downward pounces and upward bounces. It's a popular ride with little kids and will be a fan favorite for years to come. Another ride is open, however this one used to exist already at Six Flags Over Texas.

Technically not a new ride, but it had been closed since 2021. The ride used to be in an area that has now made room for the Aquaman Power Wave. Many thought the ride was gone for good, but it is back with the rest of the Looney Tunes. It is a spinning ride that features water blasters on its bucket-shaped guest compartments so riders can spray each other while the ride is in motion.

What's Next for Six Flags in 2025?

We will wait and see what upgrades Six Flags has in store for us next year. They always have something new planned. Whether that be new ride or an upgrade to an outdated part of the park. It's probably safe to say a new thrill ride would be in the works since the upgrades this year focused on the more tamer/kid friendly areas in the park.
