Lawton Meet the Candidates 2021 Elections Virtual Forum

Next month it will be time to head to the polls in Lawton, Fort Sill to cast your vote for the Mayoral and City Council races. Mark your calendar for Tuesday, September 14th (09-14-21) election day. Be an active participant in this experiment in self government by letting your voice be heard and voting. It's one of the most important things you can do and it's quick and easy. It's time to get some details on our candidates.

Current Lawton Mayor Stan Booker is up for reelection and will be facing off against two challengers, Sherene Williams and Palmer Moore. The mayoral race will be the primary election for most of Lawton, Fort Sill and the race most people will be voting on. Unless you live in Ward 2 then you'll also be voting on a new Lawton City Council member as well.

If you're unsure of which ward you live in click here to see the ward map of Lawton, Fort Sill. That way you'll know who your city council member is and know whether or not you'll be voting for the Ward 2 position this September. Before we head to the polls we'll have the opportunity to meet all the candidates so we can get a better ideal of who they are and what they're all about.

Coming up on Friday, August 28th (08-28-21) at 6:00pm you can be a apart of the 2021 Elections Virtual Forum to meet the candidates. It will be a live Zoom video conference and everyone is welcome to attend. All you'll have to do is go to Zoom.us and enter the ID: 830 6895 2356 then the Passcode: 445495 and you'll join the meeting/conference. Don't forget to vote on (09-14-21).
