December brings about many things. The calendar gets extremely busy as the twelfth month rolls around. Christmas, getting together with friends and family, and for a local civic club in Duncan, a whole week of auctioning off donated items to ensure needy kids will have warm clothes for the winter.

The action will get underway Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. and will end at 10:30 p.m. The auction will continue nightly through Friday. It will be broadcast live in the Duncan area on DTV cable access channel 10.

This auction has been going on for many years an this year is being headed up by the Duncan Rotary Club. Items purchased during the event can be picked up at the Jaycees Hut located at 1006 North 7th street in Duncan.

It is the hope that the event will raise enough funds to take care of around 300 local kids who are in need for the winter. The shopping date for the kids will be on December 14. Even if you do not live in the Duncan area and you would like to get in on the fun and help out some needy kids, you can check out the auction and items up for grabs.
