The Macarthur Highlanders have been hitting on all cylinders to start the first part of the season going undefeated and 3-0 in their non district portion of the season with great wins over Clinton, Lawton high and Eisenhower.Thursday would be the start of district play and a major twist as a rare power outage at Cameron stadium forced the game to be played at Ron's Stevens Stadium, an arena built by the WPA in 1936 made of old stones and concrete which has been used by Lawton middle schools these latter years.

This was the old stadium used for all games in the past and made for a true throwback Thursday. Under great weather conditions Big Mac would be taking on the Knights of NW Classen.

MacArthur capitalized on the first play of the game and a turnover by Classen and Mac took 4 plays to find the end zone and a quick 7-0 score the Highlanders never looked back scoring on every position and a 49-0 first quarter lead!

The starters were done after one quarter and Mac's JV finished out the contest with a great outpouring of support of a total team win and a 63-8 final. Big Mac is now 4-0 and 1-0 to start district play.
