The Macarthur Highlanders took their show on the road for their first true road game of the season to take on NW Classen at the newly renovated Taft Stadium in Oklahoma City.

It was a great night for Friday night football as the Highlanders wasted no time finding the end zone, taking only 12 seconds for Jarvier Christian to take a 85 yard kick off return for the first score of many that night. Mac dominated from the get go and never looked back as by the end of the contest found themselves at 4-0 and 1-0 to start district play.

There will be more drama and intrigue this week as the boys from up on the hill will take on the undefeated, 4 and 0, Altus Bulldogs.

Last year just a 2 point victory separated the two and Mac would go on to tie a district title and on to win the gold ball.

Altus will want revenge for sure. They will be gunning for the #1 ranked team in the state and defending state champions. Look for some fireworks of great plays and drama this Friday night at Cameron stadium as these two clash just like the good ol' days for huge district implications.

This will be a tough stretch for the Highlanders which will see Duncan and Ardmore in the next three weeks.

We will see you at the game next Friday night! Remember to Bring the Game to the Game and you could win an exclusive My Team t-shirt.
