Almost costing a half dollar now to mail a letter. This is the biggest increase in postage in the last decade according to the postal service. As the revenue continues to decline for the USPS, many are seeking alternate ways of communicating with family and friends, while paying bills online and in person.

If you are one that still has the desire to mail a letter, you need to get by the post office before close of business on Saturday to purchase the 'forever stamp.' This will keep your postage at the current rate until they are used up.
