More Hail Predicted for Southwest Oklahoma Monday Night
Here's hoping you haven't gotten that beat-up roof replaced just yet, another round of hail has been forecasted for Southwest Oklahoma overnight tonight--Monday, July 10th.
Summer 2022 was the season that the rains never came, now Summer 2023 is the season the hail won't stop. What is with the weather this year?
Here's how the forecast breaks down...
While it doesn't look that ominous, being a "slight" severe threat, these are the same odds we've seen time and time again with hail storms so far this season.
Even worse, it's supposed to come in the middle of the night.
Coming like a thief in the night as it did over the weekend. Big shout-out to the random strangers I shared the FSNB drive-thru with at 4 AM yesterday morning.
While it's tough to predict hail this far into summer, there is a pretty good chance of flooding and flash flood events happening with our rainfalls.
For the sake of those living in the Cache and East Cache Creek flood plains, it's probably OK to ask farmers to quit praying for rain for a week or two.
Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
