This weekend, everyone will likely come the closest they can to seeing a Clydesdale horse by watching the famous Super Bowl commercial. But if you live in Oklahoma, or you're willing to do some traveling, you can actually have an up close, real interaction with these gentle giants.

Express Clydesdales in Yukon Offering Free Tours & Chance To See One Up Close

The Express Clydesdales Ranch in Yukon, Oklahoma is known for offering unique services with their top-tier iconic Clydesdales. These horses are one of the largest in the draft horse group and generally stand anywhere from 18 to 19 hands, over 6 foot tall.

Their Clydesdales are trained and "extremely evenly tempered" animals, which would explain why the staff feel so comfortable allowing the public to come and visit with an appointment.

The Ranch Is Open By Appointment Only For Groups Smaller Than 25 People

The ranch is currently open by appointment only, but the first group appointment is completely free. They are closed Sunday and Monday weekly, but appointments can be scheduled with the ranch Tuesday through Saturday, between 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. They are closed during major holidays and do not schedule appointments during those times.

The free visit includes 45 minutes, but does not guarantee a chance to interact with one of the horses there. However, for groups smaller than 25 people, visitors can pay $50 for 30 minutes to tour the Clydesdale Barn, learn a brief rundown of the breed and the ranch and even have their photo taken with one of the horses.

They do not offer opportunities to ride these horses, but depending on the tour you select, you could learn more about driving equipment and how it's put on the horses.

Their horses can also be used for special events, such as weddings.

They also have a special Hayloft location on the ranch that visitors can use for a true western-style luxury setting for the next gathering.
