Oklahoma’s Best Thrilling Indoor and Quality Outdoor WaterParks

If you've ever lived in Oklahoma, you know just how important it is to have access to water during the summer. When it comes to keeping the family cool and still enjoying yourself, we've got you covered. We've done the hard work for you and ranked these options from least expensive to most, based on day pass cost solely.

7 Clans Casino & Waterpark - Newkirk, Oklahoma 

Newly opened, the First Council Casino Hotel has options for all ages, including 4 waterslides, a lazy river wrapping around the entire waterpark, a rock climbing wall and more filling the 19,300 square feet of the park. You do not have to purchase a room or stay at the casino in order to enjoy the park - it is open to the public and they offer day passes for families.

For a single day pass, adults pay $25 and children are $20 for entry.

Water Zoo Indoor Waterpark - Clinton, Oklahoma

It's Oklahoma's first indoor waterpark that is still going, with options both with and without hotel rooms. It is open year-round, never letting it get hotter or colder than 83 degrees in the park. There are even options to hook an RV to stay if you and your family are on the road.

Rates are based on height - those 42 inches or taller pay $43.99 for the day and those under 42 inches pay $32.99. Children 3 years and younger are free.

Unfortunately, we're looking at a small number for indoor waterparks - but if you're open to a little sunshine, here are the best outdoor waterparks throughout the state.

Shawnee Splash Waterpark - Shawnee, Oklahoma

Opening on May 24, 2024, visitors can enjoy swimming, diving and basking in the sun all in one place in Shawnee, Oklahoma. There, you'll find a shallow pool, regulation pool, splash pad, waterslides, rock climbing and a cencession stand to keep you cared for during your day.

Rates here fluctuate depending on days of the week. For those under 48 inches, it is $5 during the week and $6 on the weekends. Those over 48 inches tall pay $6 during the week and $7 during the weekends. Children 2 and younger get in free and there are separate rates for seniors and non-swimmers, you can find more info here.

Hurrican Harbor - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 

Saturday, May 25, Hurricane Harbor is kicking of Memorial Day weekend with their season opening day and lots to do. Waterslides, ropes courses, cabanas, rides and much more all wrapped up in a pretty package. Hurricane Harbor is also connected to Six Flags - so once you've had your fill of water fun, you can enjoy the amusement park just next door.

There are several options for passes, but for the most basic pass (if purchased online) to get entry to the park, it is $30 before tax for all ages above 2 years old. Children 2 and under get in free.

Paradise Beach Waterpark - Tulsa, Oklahoma

They've got everything you want in a waterpark - water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool - but they also host themed events for different and all age groups. Maybe you just want to enjoy some time to yourself - they've got cabanas also available for rent. They, along with many other water-themed places in Oklahoma, are opening Friday, May 24, 2024.

Currently, they are only selling season passes - for children's passes under 4ft, they are $63.99 and for adults, they are $89.99. These rates are discounted for the memorial day weekend and should expect to rise back to normal rates after the weekend. When they do open for the season, daily tickets on the weekends $31 for anyone over 4ft and $26 for anyone under. On weekdays, it is $26 for anyone over 4ft and $18 for anyone under.

Senior, military, or first responders pay the 4ft and under price Ages 2 and under are free, they also run some cheap specials for the 1st hour generally on the weekends.

There's no doubt when you're in Oklahoma during the summer, you need access to somewhere to cool off quick. It's important to plan now before the summer actually gets here and keep in mind that the rest of the state will probably be doing the same. Enjoy and good luck staying cool!
