Major League Baseball Plays of the Year – Playoffs Round 2 [VIDEO]
Last week was round one of our year-end post season, pitting the top 6 plays from the first half of the major league season, with the winner continuing on to our finale, The Play of the Year finals. Our winner was Toronto Blue third baseman Josh Donaldson, whose diving catch of a foul pop-up took him into the stands and on to our season finale.
Each week, we have been giving you the “best of the best” plays from the previous week in Major League baseball, giving you the opportunity to vote on our “Play of the Week". This week will feature the top plays from the second 13 weeks of the MLB season.
With the regular season at an end, we have compiled our list of winners, taken the ones that received the most votes, and will now have a two week "playoff" of these top winners. If any incredible plays occur during the playoffs, we will be sure to include them also for consideration in our playoff voting.
Much like week one of the postseason, we have an honorable mention to give to out. This one to our week 18 top vote-getter, the anonymous San Diego Padre ballgirl. I have decided to disqualified this young lady do to the fact that all other players in our poll were forced to to perform their incredible plays while carrying the load of multi-million dollar contracts on their backs, an obvious advantage for our young friend from San Diego.
So now enjoy the top plays from this season, and vote for your favorite!
