Last week was round two of our year-end post season, pitting the top 6 plays from the second half of the major league season against each other, with the winner continuing on to this week's big finale, The Play of the Year finals. In a close contest between what I personally believe were the two best plays of the entire season, our winner was Los Angeles Angel centerfielder Mike Trout, whose leaping catch above the wall took away a certain home run from Seattle Mariner catcher Miguel Montero. The play proved that Trout is indeed a five tool player, and sent the former AL MVP on to our season finale.

Each week, we have been giving you the “best of the best” plays from the previous week in Major League baseball, giving you the opportunity to vote on our “Play of the Week". This week will feature the top plays from the second 13 weeks of the MLB season.

With the regular season at an end, we have compiled our list of winners, taken the ones that received the most votes, and will now have a two week "playoff" of these top winners. If any incredible plays occur during the playoffs, we will be sure to include them also for consideration in our playoff voting.

So now enjoy the top plays from this season, and vote for your favorite!
