Congratulations southwest Oklahoma! We're gaining another new popular restaurant, Taco Casa. Although they have released very little details about the announcement, they did confirm that their new location would be in Lawton, Oklahoma.

No April Fools joke, Lawton, Oklahoma gaining another new mexican restaurant.

On April Fools Day, Taco Casa Texoma reached out to the Texoma community via Facebook and asked where everyone thought their new location would be. Many commentors were hoping for northern Texas towns such as Burkburnett, Wichita Falls or somewhere near the Air Force Base. A handful of supporters suggested Oklahoma locations, but Lawton wasn't on the list for many.

Taco Casa confirms town for new location, but keeps other details secret for now.

As of April 3, Taco Casa released a public video confirming that their new location would be set up in L-town (and no, it wasn't an April Fools joke). But they're keeping the details of where and when the new location goes up on the down low. The best way to find out the information is to follow their social media for the most recent updates.

Where could the new location be?

Many commentors speculate that the new Taco Casa could be set up near 82nd street in Lawton. After all, the far west side of Lawton has been getting some of the newest updates and new shops, so the guess makes sense.

Another commentor noted that there were "a lot of open space[s] off of Lee and 38th."

Throughout Lawton, there are plenty of vacant shops and newly cleared spaces that a new restaurant could be built from the ground up. Where do you think the new location should be put? Message us your thoughts through the app.

Oklahoma is no different.

Birthed into statehood as a cattle state, there's no shortage of beef on any menu here, but there's a little room for chicken and fries too. Here are the absolute, hands down, best restaurants, in no particular order, everyone has to try in The Sooner State.
